Multi award winning Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel has stated him and some celebrity friends are planning for a massive support for former IBF Bantamweight champion Joseph “King-Kong” Agbeko when he fights Colombian Luis Melendez on Friday, March 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Myjoyonline.com reported that in an interview with Joy Sports during the boxer’s work-out session at the Bridge Gym in Accra on Wednesday, he said he will be joined by other celebrities on Friday to support the “Fresh King.”
He made mention of the likes of CoDed (of 4×4), Samini, Kwaisey Pee, Fred Nuamah and Kwabena Kwabena as some of the names fans should expect at the ringside of Agbeko.
“We are great fans when it comes to sports, boxing being one of them. Joseph has a fight on Friday; we came here to support him. Seeing us around gives him a lot of motivation,” he said.
Agbeko, 32, is however optimistic of reclaiming the title he once held from Saturday, December 11, 2012 to Sunday, August 14, 2011.
