Ace Ghanaian choreographer Usher 1, real name Moses Frimpong has taken his finesse in the art of dance to another level, just few weeks after setting his feet on the soil of the United States of America.
The CEO of Flash Mob Ghana who is noted for creating admirable dance moves finallly linked up, again, with some of the world’s superb salsa dancers and/or choreographers for a night of Latin dance and according to him, it was an awesome experience. He met among other personalities, renowned Latin dance instructor Lee Rios.
During the night, the adroit Ghanaian choreogeapher created and taught a sequence of line-up steps and moves; they danced along to Ghanaian musician Luther‘s song titled ‘Dor Mi Tamor Sorng’ at the 151 Saloon, located on the 10619 Westover Hills Blvd, in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
In an exclusive interview with PlugTimes.com‘s Yaw Sarpong, Usher 1 expressed his profound gratitude to Madam Melissa Mensah, the CEO of Accra Premium, organisers of the Accra International Salsa Congress for making this possible, in a way.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank Madam Melissa Mensah of Accra Premium. Because she created a platform — the first-ever Accra International Salsa Congress in 2012, where I got to know Lee,” he noted.
He also took the opportunity to thank Lee Rios for hosting him, and for granting him the opportunity to give the lovely people of San Antonio a piece of what is yet to come.
“It was fun taking the lovely people of San Antonio through the line up dance; it was indeed another big opportunity to sell Ghana to the world through the fusing of local Ghanaian dance,” he added.
This comes ahead of his Azonto Dance and Afrobeats Workshop with Jaajo at Danzveristy, 2110 White Horse Trail Suite, Austin, Texas on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
