A number of young ladies have had their capacity ignited by the ‘Make her Smile’ project in the Ashanti Region.
The first phase of the project was a canvas painting at ArtLand, a creative arts centre, in the capital Kumasi.
This was held on Ghana’s Independence Day 6th March 2020 and it was expedient to involve young girls to participate in the painting sessions.
The focus was to reflect on the inclusion of young girls in the socio-economic development of Ghana, a microcosm of Globalization. About ten (10) children participated in the session.
The second phase of the project was a seminar organized at the T.I Ahmadiyya Girls Senior High School, in Asokore, in the Sekyere East District in the Ashanti Region.
The event which was held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 had fifty (50) participants.
It started with an introduction of the purpose of gathering by Maxwell Beganim, Country Director of Future Team Ghana.The guest speaker, Maxwell Danquah highlighted on women and building their capacities for the future of job and entrepreneurship.
The event was climaxed with donation of educational materials and ending with meet and greet, as well as photo session.
This formed part of the activities to mark the International Women’s Day.
