Australian TV Show ’20 to One’ attacked for Racist Comments against BTS

An Australian TV Show ’20 to One’ which airs on Channel 9 has come under serious condemnation. This follows racist and disrespectful comments against k-pop boy band BTS.

During the show, hosts and comedians spoke very derogatory about fans of BTS who are collectively known as BTS Army.

Some of the words used against the group include:

– “Kim Jong Un is well into boy bands.”

– “The biggest band you’ve never heard.”

– “The South Korean One Direction…Yeah never heard of them”

– “When I first heard something Korean had exploded in America, I got worried. So I guess it could have been worse. But not much worse.”

One of the hosts went ahead to tivialize RM’s recent speech at the UN saying he probably talked about hair products.

Fans of BTS are obviously not happy about the incident and have since condemned the station, while calling on them to apologize.
