Accra Hearts of Oak escapes relegation in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League following a 3 – 2 victory away to Bechem United in the final match day.
Goals from Agbekumah, Asibey and Baafi were enough to seal another season in the GPL, despite going down twice.
This result means Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United are heading back to the Division One League in the coming season.
Accra Hearts of Oak finishes the league on 14th position out of eighteen (18) teams.
The Accra-based football club managed 45 points, plus 4 goals which is just a point above the relegated team Great Olympics.
On why Bechem United couldn’t lost, Coach Seth Osei Wire in a post-match interview noted the team didn’t create much chances against the 2023 GHALCA President’s Cup Champions.
