Revered Ghanaian disc jockey DJ Pho has won the ‘Event DJ of the Year’, at the 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.
This is the second time the multiple award winning DJ has won in the same category — a feat which comes after winning at the 2020 ceremony.
DJ Pho faced stiff competition from DJ Lord OTB, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Toyor, DJ Ikon, DJ Sam, DJ Loft, AD DJ, and DJ Juicy, this year.
Real name Kwaku Asante Boateng, this remarkable achievement follows his superb performance at the major events across the country.
DJ Pho‘s list of events he has played at include, but not limited to the RTP Awards, Parliament of Ghana’s Democracy Cup, and most recently at the launch of 5G network in Ghana.
This year’s award marks his fourth (4th) as a professional DJ, after winning the Best Mobile DJ (2014 and 2023 editions), as well as the Event DJ of the Year (2023 edition).
