Dr Mahamadu Bawumia makes history by winning the Presidential Primaries 2023 of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2024 Ghana General Elections.
The current Vice President of Ghana polled 118,210 votes (making 61.43%) of the total votes cast – the highest percentage margin since Adu Boahen.
His closest competitor Kennedy Agyapong also polled 71,996 votes (making 37.41%) of the total votes cast. Dr. Afriyie Akoto and Francis Addai-Nimoh polled 1,449 votes (0.75%) and 781 votes (0.41%) respectively.
