This year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is set to take place later this year as it has been scheduled, and one of the films to be screened at the festival include “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.”
The film chronicles the life journey of former South African president, Nelson Mandela from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of the country.
The movie stars A-list acts including Idris Elba (lead character), Naomi Harris, Robert Hobbs, Sivuyile Gotyana among others.
The movie was written (screenplay) by William Nicholson and directed by Justin Chadwick.
Founded in 1976, this year’s event which will be the 38th will be held between Thursday, September 5 to Sunday, September 15 and it is expected to screen close to 400 films from around the world.
