The Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) 2014 begins in July and FOKN Bois’ ‘Coz Ov Moni 2: FOKN Revenge’ has been selected among the numerous films which will be screened at the festival.
This year’s event is the 35th festival and will take place from July 17 to 27 in South Africa.
The film which is a sequel to ‘Coz Ov Moni’ – the world’s first-ever pidgin music film is the only Ghanaian film to be screened at this prestigious event.
‘Coz Ov Moni 2: FOKN Revenge’ sees the duo, M3nsa and Kuborlor’s make a revenge against a gang that beat them up and robbed them in ‘Coz Ov Moni.’
It is directed by King Luu and it’s a 64 minute film with Ghanaian Pidgin English as well as English subtitles.
It is scheduled to be screened on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 from 7.15pm to 8.20pm and 9.00pm to 10.04pm local time respectively.
Some of the films to be screened include ‘Nelson Mandela: The Myth and Me’, ‘Cold Harbour’, ‘Boyhood’, ‘One Humanity’, and ‘The Dance’.
The DIFF 2014 is organised by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
