Ghanaian musician Okailey Verse, simply known as OV has reacted to comments about her style when it comes to fashion.
According to the Burniton Music Group act, who is mainly noted for wearing denim and shirts, like associated with boys, it is her preference to dress that way.
The ‘Want Me’ singer made this known in an interview with Amansan Krakye of Radio Central in Cape Coast.
“That’s what I prefer. I won’t complain if I see a man dressed girlishly because that’s what makes that man feel comfortable,” she said.
“I have always loved wearing jeans n shirts. My late brother taught me that and ever since I have loved it that way. It’s not as if am doing that in honour of my late brother but that’s part of my brand,” she added.
When the 2018 MTN Hitmaker winner was quizzed why she is not seen with female acts in the country, she noted that being a woman doesn’t guarantee she should always be with other female celebrities.
“The fact that I’m a woman doesn’t mean I should always be seen with female celebs,” she mentioned.
“It is music that we’re all doing as and when the need be to do features with other female musicians no problem we’ll definitely link up,” she reiterated.
