Shatta Wale Knelt and Apologized after Outburst during Meeting with IGP – Fredyma reveals

Revered sound engineer Fred Kyei Mensah popularly known as Fredyma recounts why Shatta Wale was asked to leave the IGP’s private meeting with persons in the creative arts industry.

He reveals following his outburst, the Shatta Movement boss knelt down and apologized for his action.

On Wednesday morning, a video of Shatta Wale who looks unhappy after being prevented from capturing scenes from the meeting with the IGP Dr. George Akufo-Dampare on his phone went viral.

PlugTimes understands, persons present were informed, prior to the commencement of the meeting that no one should take shots of what will ensue within the precincts of the auditorium.

Shatta Wale and his team arrived late so they were not privy to this information.

Fredyma adds that a policeman asked the Ghanaian reggae/dancehall musician to stop recording the proceedings, however, he got furious in the process and was asked to leave.

He was ushered back in and apologized.

Here is Mr Fred Kyei Mensah‘s narration to what ensued earlier today. He made this known on a comment to a post by Kelly Nii Lartey Mensah.

“Suffice to say, i won’t blame Shatta much for the recordings. When we were told that it was a private meeting between the IGP and the creatives so no one should record, Shatta and his team were not there. He came later with Stonebwouy and his team. I was sitting behind him and Stonebwouy.
It was when i think, a Policeman, told him to stop recordings that he got infuriated and started talking at the top of his voice which to me, wasn’t the best. He was asked to be whisked away by a senior Police officer.
Later, he was ushered in again and apologized unreservedly and even knelt in front of the people on the high table to beg for forgiveness.
It was not a pleasant scene and hope, it will not be repeated.”

In a related development a video from the private meeting has made its way to the public.

In the video sighted by PlugTimes, Afia Schwarzenegger is seen taking her turn as she speaks to the police officials present.

It is currently not known who recorded that video.
