Bedroom Diaries of a Black Woman Nominated for World Summit Awards 2013

Benny BonsuIntriguing reality drama series, Bedroom Diaries of a Black Woman (BDOABW) has been shortlisted by the Grand Jury of the World Summit Award 2013 in the “Best e-Media and Journalism” category for progressively promoting the show with standard e-Content solutions.

BDOABW is based on a real life story of interesting characters [including Benny Bonsu, Julia Clement, Belinda Sefakor, Mackie Sassu and Maame Adjoa] with celebrity guest appearances including Vivian Achor, PY Addo Boateng, Gudd Kelly and more.

The honour comes barely two (2) months after its TV premiere on Viasat 1. The show which initially started as a blog in 2003 has over the years transmogrified from one media platform to another including vlog, radio and now TV.

The World Summit Awards (WSA) is a United Nations-sponsored event and honours the world’s most outstanding e-Content and innovative ICT users as it upholds the UN-WSIS targets for the information into action by “promoting smart content for smart people.”

Other categories include “e-Business & Commerce”, “e-Learning & Science”, “e-Government & Open Data”, “e-Culture & Tourism”, “e-Health & Environment”, “e-Entertainment & Game” and “e-Inclusion & Empowerment.”

This year’s event will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from Wednesday, October 23 to Saturday, October 26 and will include conference, workshops, award presentations among others.

At the event, winners will be given opportunity to present their products to a high-level audience and introduce them to an international network of renowned ICT-experts, decision-makers and business leaders.

BDOABW is directed by Solid Multimedia, Singature Inc. & Outburst Communications and airs every Thursday on Viasat1 at 8.00pm and Saturdays between 9.00am to 12.00pm on X 95.1 FM.
