Rapper E.L has added his voice to the buzz around the VGMA 2019 ‘Artiste Of The Decade’ to 2 Artistes category.
According to the one-time VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ winner, it won’t be fair to give award just one musician in that covetous category.
The ‘Mi Naa Bo Po’ hitmaker however, stated that it should be given to two musician; although he didn’t mention who it should go to.
He made this statement in an interview on Accra-based Kasapa 102.5 FM.
This is because, all the artistes in the category did marvelously well during the years under review.
“Everyone deserves it in their own right. I don’t think it’s appropriate or even fair to give one artiste an Artiste of the Decade because we’ve had different artistes mold the whole music industry for the past 10 years,” he said.
“They should just give it to 2 Artistes in that category,” he added.
His comments follows days of rigorous campaign from some nominees in the category including Samini, and Shatta Wale.
The 20th VGMA comes off this Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
