Identified as Agya Oppong and in his late 50s, he told DJ Nyaami in an exclusive interview on SVTV Africa that it all began when he brought his wife to join him in France, where he was earning enough thanks to the work he was doing with a major health centre there.
He added that plans were far advanced to make their children join them, however, one of their children died and his wife travelled back to Ghana for the burial, and he joined later.
“In the process, one of my children died and my wife traveled back to Ghana for the burial. I later also travelled to Ghana and by the time I returned, she had packed all my things and flew with the children to the UK. I followed up and a lot of developments took place. In the heat of the confusion, we divorced and here I am today,” he said.
He also added that because he had lost his job and property in France, he could not return.
Although he thought life in UK could be a little easier, it is not as rosy as he thought.
“I am not comfortable being here because things are very tough. I am just struggling to complete the project I started before I moved back home but it is not easy”, he lamented.
