South Africa Wines hosts South African Business Delegation at a Networking Cocktail Event

Accra-based premium wine shop South Africa Wines and South African High Commission have fronted a networking cocktail event, for a business delegation from South Africa and Ghanaian business owners.

Held on Monday, February 10, 2020, the gathering was graced by astute professionals from diverse economic sectors including construction, mining, tourism, wines, agriculture, and technology, of both countries.

It forged an opportunity for the community members and patrons, at large, to establish a mutually beneficial business relationship with one another.

Present at the event was the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Lulama “Lulu” Xingwana, staff of the Commission, members of Women In Business & Tourism, and many more.

The business executive who is also the president of Women In Business & Tourism added that “we are promoting women entrepreneurship, intra-Africa trade and see how we can use Africa to conquer the rest of the world.”

H.E. Lulu Xingwana mentioned that Ghana will be the seat of trade and business in Africa while acknowledging the appointment of South Africa’s Wamkele Mene as the first Secretary-General of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area, who will join the team in Accra to run Africa trade.

“Its up to you to chase the opportunity. It only highlights the relations are getting stronger between Ghana and South Africa; not only government to government. So the future is in our hands — Ghana and South Africa. We will drive business and economic development on the African continent,” she remarked.

Earlier in the day, the group had a Conference at Movenpick where Directors from various Ghanaian institutions such as GEPA, GFZA, One District One Factory, GIPC explained to them, how to enter the Ghanaian market and various business opportunities available in the country.
