Ghanaian rapper LJ is a Lyrical Beast!

I have been a great admirer of Ghanaian rapper LJ (Lyrical Joe) for exactly two (2) years now.

This was when I first watched the video to his song ‘Alright’ which features Toffdawg.

I had not watch a relatively young Ghanaian rapper exhibit fine lyrical dexterity like he did for a long time, since Obrafour, Sarkodie and Flowking Stone.

Watching LJ continually dish out some of the adept rap tunes in the music industry, I was not surprised to see him listed on Sarkodie’s ‘Biibi Ba’ song.

Of course, he has worked his way out and I felt happy for him on that.

He continues to dictate his space with his craft and watching him perform yesterday on TV3‘s Music Music, I got carried away by what he does best. Before last night, I had not watched the program for God knows how long. However, seeing advert during the week that the likes of LJ, CJ Biggerman, and Amerado will be on the show, I decided to stay at home and watch them.

As I lied on the sofa in my room to watch various acts, I only had to watch them perform and pass my judgment as usual.

When LJ was announced as the next act, I smiled. On his second song performance, I subconsciously walked out of the sofa, joined the GH-rap ambiance and moved along like I was also inside TV3’s Studio B.

Again, he wowed me with his energy, audience communication, choice of songs to perform, and many others.

He is one of the few who is endowed with fine lyrical content, and he replicated that during last night’s TV3 Music Music hosted by Nana Kwame and Benedicta Gafah. I will liken him to the likes of Sarkodie, M.anifest, Flowking Stone, M.I., Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, and a couple of great rappers on the continent. Like these rappers, LJ is also a rap beast!

My wish is to see LJ achieve higher heights in his career as he envisions taking Ghana to the Grammys.
