Legendary Ghanaian gospel musician Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo are set to embark on an European Tour this summer.
This forms part of his 40 years celebration as a formidable pillar in Ghana’s gospel music industry.
The tour will see the ‘Wo Haw Ne Sen’ hitmaker and his evergreen music group perform in cities across six (6) countries in Europe. These countries include Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and England.
This was announced at a press cocktail event held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Accra, Ghana.
The Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Alicia Rico stated that her outfit will “contribute to the success of this magnificent tour.”
“I know that there is a big community of Ghanaians in Barcelona and in Catalonia and since this is the year of reuniting Africans all over the world, I think there is no greater way to unite and to create links with others but through culture and creative industry,” she added.
The Director of Creative Arts, responsible for Programs & Projects at the National Commission on Culture Mr Socrates Sarfo also noted that “we hope and pray that the journey will be fruitful so we sell Ghana to the rest of the world. It’s the Year of Return so the success of the tour will be very helpful in that regard.”
The European tour is under the auspices of Nana Kabo Entertainment and the Creative Arts Council of Ghana with support from the Spanish Embassy, and Ghana Union Association of Osona, Barcelona.
