The suitability assessment of prospective beauty queen(s) for the first-ever Miss Gold Ghana beauty pageant has been held.
It aims at promoting humanitarianism and empowering women through pageantry.
With the theme for the maiden edition geared towards child education, the audition was held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 on the campus of Knutsford University College in East Legon, Accra-Ghana.
Following the day-long activity, with respective to presentations, Q&A session, among others with the judges, eighteen (18) beautiful and intelligent ladies made it to the next phase of the competition.
The contestants are Henrietta Boglo, Joana Baah, Joycelyn Amoah, Lydia Awutey, Mary Agbenku, Ophelia Tsormana, Priscilla Badu, Franklina Blackson and Sandra Obeng. Others are Serwaah Sekyere, Sandra Banson, Sylvia Tettey, Mabel Amoh, Thelma Amoateng, Eva Boatemaah, Aba Dadzie, Matilda Ohenewaa and Antoinette Kporsu.
In the end, one of the judges Lilian Sally Addo (Country Head, UN Youth Ghana) advised the selected contestants to embrace the qualities of a beauty queen.
