2020 Ghana Music Awards USA Categories
The 2020 Ghana Music Awards USA categories have been announced at a ceremony held over the weekend in New Jersey, USA.
Twenty-five (25) categories were declared for the first-ever event which is scheduled to take place in Springfield, Virginia, USA on Friday, July 3, 2020.
Despite being the maiden ceremony, the year under review is from January 2019 to December 2019.
Mr. Godfred Wiafe of 2Geez Entertainment (one of the organisers of the organisers of the award ceremony), noted that “voting is 40% for board, 20% for Academy and 40% for the general public.”
However, for the “Popular Song of the Year” there is 80% public voting and 20% board voting.

- Ghanaian Traditional Culture Act
