The weekly event is put together by a group of Ghanaian Acoustic musicians and vocalists touring and spreading the African/Western fusion vibe which includes a member of the 2012 Vodafone Icons Mixed Edition “Black N Peach”, Noble Nii Nortey.
“The live music set entertains for hours, journeying through world music genres and marrying unique renditions of popular tracks with their own original song writing. Ghanaian music genres are also represented with passion and they promise to continually surprise you with their very own versions of well-known local songs.”
The venue is at the Afrikiko Leisure Centre adjacent the Flagstaff House on the Liberation Road between the hours of 6.30pm and 11.00pm and entry is free.
It is a musical tour and will in the upcoming weeks deliver a relaxing atmosphere in celebration stripped down music talents at the same venue.
The session which saw the group perform at the venue for over five hours, also saw the ‘Mr. Music Man’, Kojo Antwi supporting these talents last Monday.
Join ‘The Acoustic Session Ghana” crew as they perform live at the Afrikiko Leisure Centre this and every Monday to wind down the stress of the new week.
It will be hosted at the venue until it moves nationwide in August.
