He was nominated in this category alongside superb Disc Jockeys including DJ Yoga of Urban Addiction, DJ Nyaame of SV Promz (Tema), DJ Collins of Vinyl City, DJ Sly of Owner Service (Kumasi) and DJ Bright of Vista.
In a tete-a-tete with him inside the premises of the radio station in Adabraka, he was first and foremost very thankful to God Almighty, his fans, all who powered him to the honour through votes and his colleague DJs who were nominated in the category.
“Wow! I am overwhelmed but first of all thanks and praise to the man up there [God] for making me emerge a victor in this category.”
“Congratulations to my colleagues who though couldn’t win but earned nomination to the category,” he added.
“I would also like to thank everybody especially the fans and lovely listeners for making me a winner; I really owe you much,” he acknowledged.
Questioned whether it was a smooth-ride for him following his nomination he quickly noted that it was not easy in view of the fact that he was nominated among some of the country’s top-notch Disc Jockeys in that same category.
The versatile DJ who acknowledged the need to do more after this honour also stated emphatically that the award is a mark of better days ahead in his career.
“Of course to whom much is given, much is expected and as a result I’m making sure focus on my career is not lost. Developing the talent is very important because of the need to continue to give the best of selections and/or mixes to my listeners.”
