Anas, BBC Crew attack in Malawi
Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the renowned Ghanaian investigative journalist has escaped a near-fatal moment in rural Malawi.
The Tiger Eye P.I boss and BBC crew were almost lynched to death by some angry while embarking on an undercover filming murder linked to ritual magic in the region.
In a latest video sighted by GlammyNews.com, the project which is titled ‘Malawi’s Human Harvest’ the team were spotted in Southern African nation to help the police find culprits of suspected ritual killings and black magic.
However, the meeting with some of the killers went horribly wrong when the team were also mistakened for ritual killers.
In the video, a team member is heard saying “please can you help us, they’re kicking us. Oh My God!”
The BBC has been collaborating with the investigative journalist and this was also part of the BBC Africa Eye project. One of the much-talked about was/is ‘Number 12’ — the investigative piece about the rot in football in Ghana.
