Shatta Wale has explained why Nigerian rapper Olamide is the only musician he featured on his upcoming ‘Reign’ album.
Also known as Olamide Baddo or BaddoSneh, he is on track no. 9 which is titled ‘Wonders’.
According to him, although the initial plan was not to have any other musician on it, however, the ‘Wo’ hitmaker came to light as a result of his identical life struggles.
He made this known in an exclusive interview with Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.5 FM on Friday.
“Like I keep saying, I have a story that when I see it goes with the next man, I like to also join hands with. And I found out that Olamide is one guy that struggled, one guy that has proven most of the Nigerian communities wrong, to make it to the top,” he said.
“He has a story like mine so I felt, this ‘Reign’ album I want to drop and the kind of story I want to send out there, I needed a person [like him to be on],” he added.
The Shatta Movement boss also revealed that he “didn’t want to feature anybody because my initial plan was to do it alone.”
Shatta Wale is set to officially release his ‘Reign’ album tomorrow [Saturday, October 13, 2018] and he is expected to sell out the 20,000 capacity Fantasy Dome inside Trade Fair Centre, La-Accra.
