WhatsApp Group Voice and Video Calls
WhatsApp added a group voice and video calling feature and this is a significant step made by the engineers behind the messaging app.
The new WhatsApp group voice and video calls feature is available on Android and iOS devices.
Currently, this feature allows a maximum number of four (4) members in a group to make voice or video call at the same time.
WhatsApp has supported voice and video calls since 2015 and 2016 respectively; it was until now, privately limited to two (2) users at a time.
According to WhatsApp, the group voice and video calls feature is end-to-end encrypted which prevent non-participants from seeing or hearing the conversation. This was done in collaboration with WhisperSystems. The company which is also owned by Facebook says the new feature has been engineered to work under slow network connection.
