#NigeriaDecides2019: INEC postpones 2019 Nigeria General Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rescheduled the Nigeria 2019 General Elections, PlugTimes.com can confirm.
This was made known in a press statement dated Saturday, February 16, 2019 signed by the chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
This follows “a careful review of the implementation its logistics and operational plan and the determination conduct free, fair, and credible elections,” part of the statement reads.
Hence, the Presidential and National Assembly elections will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2019 before the Governorship, State House Assembly, and the FCT Area Council elections take place a fortnight later.
The INEC has stated that it will engage stakeholders on the way forward later on Saturday.
