Rugani tests Positive for Coronavirus
Juventus player Daniele Rugani has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
The Italian has stated the player and his teammates will go under 14-day quarantine.
The quarantine session is expected to lead to transformative changes in the European football schedule.
The Italian international defender was last seen jubilating with his teammates and staff, following a 2-0 win over Inter Milan on Sunday.
This was revealed by the Turin side in a statement on Wednesday that it is “currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him.”
Rugani has urged everyone not to worry because he is fine, while urging all to respect the rules.
“Yes, I’ve the Coronavirus – but don’t worry, now I’m fine. I urge you to respect the rules, because this virus makes no distinctions! Let’s do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us,” he said.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic.
