California is preparing the biggest ever black reparation move by compensating all descendants of slaves an amount of $223,000.
It covers the descendants of slaves who were in the States in the 19th century.
This is a recommendation by the CA governor Gavin Newsom‘s Committee which is exploring this on behalf of the State of California.
This borders “housing discrimination” setbacks and it will sum up to $559 billion. This becomes the nation’s biggest restitution effort ever.
It means the over two (2) million black people or African American in the state will be considered for this reparation package, report from the task force says.
Other areas the Newsom‘s Committee is considering for the reparation include mass incarceration, unjust property seizures, devaluation of black businesses and health care.
