Moses Wins Nigerian Idols Season 3

Moses-Obi-Adigwe-600x399Moses Obi-Adigwe popularly called “Teddy Bear” has emerged winner during the grand-finale of the Nigeria Idols Season 3 following six months of thorough training, electrifying performances and enduring evictions.

The TV reality show saw Moses, 22, faced tough opposition from 10 other contestants and a fiercer one from his grand-finale contender Debbie [Olu-Rise].

Hosted by Nigeria’s top urban TV and radio personality Illrymz, there was an open performance from the winner of season one, Yenka Onka and a later one from season two winner Mercy.

The duo [Moses and Debbie] performed Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’ and Tiwa Savage’s ‘Kele Kele Love’ respectively for their open acts. They later performed other songs to as they thrilled fans last night.

There was a performance from Nigerian Idol judge and Afrobeat legend Femi Kuti, D’Banj, and Omawumi.

Moses becomes the first male contestant to win the reality show, join the likes of Timi Dakolo (West Africa Idol, 2007), Yenka Ona (Nigerian Idol, 2011) and Mercy Chinwo (Nigerian Idol, 2012) in the league of Idol winners.

He took away a lip-smacking sum of 15million naira and a brand new SUV while Debbie who came second took away a sum of 1million naira and a KIA Rio.

The season’s event was supported by etisalat, pepsi, and The Beat 99.9 FM.
