Music duo R2bees conquered all at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards as they emerged victorious in 6 categories out of the 9 they were nominated for in this year;s prestigious event.
They won in both the “Hiplife Song of the Year” and “Vodafone Song of the Year” category with their hit song ‘Life (Walahi’)’. Their song ‘Odo’ also won for them “Highlife Song of the Year” before emerging as winners in the “Best Group of the Year” and “Hiplife/Hip-hop Artiste of the Year” categories and went ahead to win the biggest of the night ” Artiste of the Year.”
The event which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre saw classic performances from EME acts Banky W and Wizkid as well as that from superb Ghanaian acts like Sarkodie, R2bees, Fuse ODG, Amandzeba, M.anifest, Kwabena Kwabena, Asem, Keche, Efya, Akatakyie and Kontihene.
