STATEMENT: Jesse Jagz Quits Chocolate City

Jesse JagzNigerian rapper and music producer Jesse Jagz has announced that he has “voluntarily” parted company with lively records company Chocolate City Music.

In a statement copied to, the hardworking artiste though did not cited any specific problem with the management of the record label but admitted he decided to take the decision after his two-year contract with the label has expired.

Below is the STATEMENT released by Jesse Jagz:

I, Jesse Garba Abaga (also known as “Jesse Jagz”) an artist formerly signed to Chocolate City Music label hereby wishes to notify my fans and the general public about my voluntary exit from the label.

After my initial two year contractual agreement with Chocolate City, I do not wish to renew my contract with them and as such have proceeded to continue my music career with my new team at Jesse Jagz Nation.

I still maintain a cordial relationship with the management of Chocolate City and my former label mates and I wish them the best in all their future endeavors’, he explained.

The 28-year old is set to release his next studio album under JagzNation in July this year.

Jesse was signed to the record label in 2008 and has written and produced songs for the likes of M.I. [his elder brother].
