Dubbed “Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts” it assembles the best of arts in music, dance, comedy, theatre etc. from around the globe.
Ghana will be represented on this year’s festival by the FOKN Bois and Sister Deborah of “Uncle Obama” fame.
Meanwhile, Sister Deborah’s performance is on Saturday, June 29 and she has revealed she is “very happy because I [she] would be introducing Ghana’s beloved dance Azonto to the biggest music festival in UK,” she said. She also admitted that it is a “huge deal” for her.
The music festival will see the likes of Kenny Rogers, James Blake, Swedish House Mafia and The Rolling Stones among others.
The Glastonbury Festival is powered by ProjectGDance and scheduled to take place from Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, June 30 and supported by Greenpeace, OXFAM, and WaterAid.
