The weeklong celebration has been scheduled to remember the death of the 3rd president of the 4th Republic.
Below is the Schedule of Programs for the Anniversary:
On Sunday, July 21, there would be a Choral Concert at the National Theatre to mark the 69th birthday and starts at exactly 3.00pm
On Monday, July 22, there would be the launch of the Atta Mills Foundation and the first series of the annual Atta Mills Memorial Lectures would be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) at 3.00pm
On Wednesday, July 24, there would also be a wreath-laying ceremony at the Asomdwee Park from 1.00pm to observe the exact date and time he passed away. At 4.00pm on the same day, there would be an International Hockey Gala at the Accra hockey pitch.
On Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, there would be Muslim prayers and Seventh Day Adventist Churches holds special services respectively. On the same day, Saturday, July 27, there would also be a Foundation Stone laying ceremony at the University of Cape-Coast (UCC) for the construction of the Atta Mills Memorial Research Library 9.00am.
On Sunday, July 28, there would be a Non-Denominational Church Service at the Robert Mensah Stadium (Siwdu Park) in Cape Coast at 9.00am to climax the whole celebration.
