Speaking at the launch last Friday, the Honourable Minister for the sector, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare said that the dance lesson is aimed at creating an avenue for workers to spend some time to release stress through local dance lessons.
The dance lesson which is dubbed “Dance the Stress Away” is also targeted at the general public who love to have fun through dance.
“Instead of wasting fuel in the traffic, it would be more advisable to visit the National Theatre for some dance classes and also have some fun,” she said. She also ensured that this initiative would be replicated in other regions.
It will be held at the National Theatre in Accra on every weekend between the hours of 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
The Deputy Executive Director of the National Theatre, Mrs. Amy Appiah acknowledged this initiative has been put in place to generate some funds for the Ministry. She however explained that the classes will cost each prospective entrant an amount of GH¢400 (annually), GH¢40 (monthly) and GH¢5 (daily).
Make a date to release some stress through our local dance at the National Theatre every weekend.
