The Accra Chapter of EMSOG paid a courtesy call on Professor Zac the CEO of the National Ambulance yesterday at his office to officially invite him to the official press launch of the Emergency Medicine Society of Ghana – Accra Chapter.
Nurse Sara Danquah, PRO of the group started by appreciating the efforts of the Emergency Medicine Technicians in bridging the gap and improving pre-hospital care.
She added that, successive governments have contributed to Emergency Care in Ghana and that it was time to have a united front to champion this course.
The Group leader Dr Nana Afia Boateng also affirmed the society’s dedication and stressed on the group objectives to make Emergency Medicine the core of health care systems in Ghana.
The CEO of the National Ambulance, Professor Zacharia thanked the group and agreed with the Group that forming a united front was necessary for this day and age. He also believed that Emergency Medicine Teams can best tell their own stories and that engaging with the public was the best way to go.
He said, he added that he was extremely proud of the team and prayed they continue and never relent.
