Kwesi Nyantakyi charged with Fraud
Former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has officially been charged with fraud by an Accra High Court, on Wednesday.
This comes after Anas Aremeyaw Anas‘ explosive expose titled “Betraying the Game” (Number 12) in 2018.
He was has been slapped with three (3) charges including conspiracy to commit crime, fraud, and corruption.
Mr. Nyantakyi, and the Chairman of the Northern Region Football Association (RFA) Abdulai Alhassan, were given GHc1 million bail.
In the investigative report, he demanded $12 million from investors, promising to land them major contracts.
The money, Mr Nyantakyi said was going to be distributed as follows — $5 million for president of Ghana H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, $3 million for the vice-president H.E. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, and $2 million as well as $1 million for the Roads and Highways Minister, and his Deputy, respectively.
