Sarkodie Is Ghana’s Best Hip-hop Artiste – Jayso

Hip-hop musician Jayso has made known that Ghana’s fastest rapper Sarkodie is the best hip-hop artiste in the country today.

He was speaking yesterday on the Brown Berry Show on Choice 102.3 FM – an Accra-based urban radio station.

The artiste who paused for a moment before answering said this when the host Brown Berry asked him, who the best hip-hop artiste in Ghana is.

Sarkodie is the best [rapper] in Ghana now considering his major recordings over the years since the days of ‘Lay Away’, he said.

He also acknowledged the fact that Sarkodie only raps in Twi [one of Ghana’s numerous local languages] and that does not take away the hip-hop from him.

He articulated this among other issues during his interview with the host on the future of hip-hop in Ghana.

Jay So has worked on a couple of songs with Sarkodie including ‘Lay Away’, ‘Pizza and Burger’, ‘I’m In Love With Your Girlfriend’, ‘Let’em Know’ among others.

The duo have teamed up for a joint-collaboration album titled ‘The Mind Game’ or TMG which is set to be officially released on Saturday, April 13.
