Organised under the theme, ‘Beauties For A Cause’ the scouting will be done in two sectors (the Northern and Southern) during which there will be a precise pre-selection exercise to make up a final selection of 16 ladies for the much coveted crown.
The pre-selection train starts from the Southern sector on Saturday, March 2 at the conference room of the Ghana Wildlife Society in Accra whiles the Northern Sector will be held at the Miklin Hotel, Kumasi, on Saturday, March 9 at exactly 8am in each venue and day.
According to the Executive Directors of the Miss Earth Ghana Organisation, Edwin Lutterodt Azu and Kwame Osei Sarfo, the sixteen (16) Finalists will be camped for four weeks to undergo a series of activities including tree planting, environmental education, beach resource/sanitation, management activities, eco fashion show-themed photo shoots.
These activities will take place in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern and Central regions of Ghana.
The pageant is organized by the Miss Earth Organisation and the reigning queen is Jennifer Maame Yaa Kyekye Tete who won the pageant last year.
