The nine-time Grammy Award winner, known for leading urban contemporary gospel choirs such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew (1NC), will be the main artiste at the biggest gospel concert in Ghana for the year, organised by entertainment powerhouse Adom 106.3 FM.
Adom Praiz is bouncing back this year after last year’s event coincided with the death of Ghana’s former President John Evans Atta Mills, and the organizers are promising a mega show that will more than make up for last year’s absence.
“With his invigorating energy, Kirk and his 11 man band, supported by the cream of Ghanaian gospel artistes, are sure to keep lovers of quality gospel on their feet the whole night,” a leading member of the team putting the event together told Adomonline.com.
Although they are keeping the date close to their chests for now, hints picked up by Adomonline.com indicate the event will likely come off either at the end of the third quarter or early in the fourth quarter of the year.
Adomonline.com will keep readers posted on the latest developments on this year’s Adom Praiz, which won the Best Contribution to African Gospel Music Award at the Africa Gospel Music Awards, held in London in July 2011.
