Ace dance instructor and CEO of Flash Mob Ghana, Mr. Moses Frimpong popularly known as Usher has added his voice to the rate at which the relentless effort of dancers in the country are overlooked stating emphatically that dancers and the art of dance is the lifeline of Ghana’s entertainment industry.
In an exclusive interview with GlitzGhana.com, he was of strong conviction that dancers will soon receive the level of recognition and respect while he acknowledged the industry without dancers would have been dead.
“I have a strong vision that dancers will get there soon and whether Ghanaians recognize our effort or not, we are the ones that makes the industry very entertaining,” he reiterated.
This call comes a week after global drink brand, Malta Guinness unveiled Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD), Celebrity Blogger Ameyaw Debrah, actress Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku and 4syte TV cum radio presenter, Jeremie Van-Garshong and Joy 99.7 FM’s Jefferson Sackey as ambassadors for their Africa Rising project which saw them ignore dance as one of the sectors of Ghana’s entertainment industry that is selling the country abroad.
“I think Ghana cannot consider the factors that have led to Africa rising [entertainment-wise] without acknowledging dance as a contributing factor,” he said.
Flash Mob Ghana are the organizers of the upcoming maiden World Azonto Festival to which is set to be hosted in Ghana and later around the globe starting this September.
