Real name Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh, this becomes the second time he has been freed.
He was standing trial on charges of practising medicine without a licence and operating an unlicensed medical facility.
He was acquitted and discharged on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 by the court, presided over by Mr Emmanuel Essandoh, after upholding a “submission of no case” filed by his legal team.
The presiding judge noted that the prosecution did not present enough evidence, and the witnesses testimony were inconsistent.
He added that as a result, the prosecution failed to convince the court about the veracity of the case.
On January 23, 2019, Dr Obeng-Andoh was initially discharged, by a circuit court presided over by Mrs Priscilla Dapaah Mireku, on the basis that the prosecution was not ready to prosecute him.
After Dr Obeng-Andoh was discharged, the case was resurrected by the prosecution and filed before the court, presided over by Mr Essandoh.
